How Essential Oil Blends Work
One of the most beautiful things about essential oils is how their fragrances change when combined.
A single essential oil can be lovely on its own, but blending two or three complementary oils can create a fragrance with greater depth and character.
Fragrances are often described in three layers:
Top Notes
These are the first aromas you notice. They are often bright, fresh and light, such as sweet orange, grapefruit, mandarin and lime.
Middle Notes
Sometimes called the heart of a fragrance, these give a blend much of its personality. Floral and herbal oils such as geranium, lavender and neroli often feature here.
Base Notes
These are deeper, richer aromas that help give a fragrance warmth and character. Frankincense, patchouli, cedarwood and vetiver are examples.
Not every blend needs all three layers. Sometimes the most beautiful fragrance comes from just one or two carefully chosen essential oils.

What If I Prefer Unscented Skincare?
Not everyone enjoys fragranced skincare, and we understand that some customers prefer to keep their routine as simple as possible.
We offer unscented options in selected products, made without added essential oil fragrance.
These products may still have a faint natural aroma from their botanical oils, butters or other ingredients.
Unscented does not necessarily mean completely odourless, and it does not guarantee that a product will be suitable for sensitive skin.
If you have known allergies or sensitivities, we recommend checking the complete ingredient list before purchasing.
A Little Note About Essential Oil Safety
Although essential oils are natural botanical ingredients, they are highly concentrated and can cause irritation or allergic reactions in some individuals.
We use essential oils at carefully considered concentrations appropriate to the individual product and its intended use.
